Season Launch Mini Carnival
This year, we're only hosting one Mini Carnival which officially launch our 2025 season.
We'd love to see everyone register for a fantastic day before club rounds are underway.
Date: Sunday 16 March 2025Time: TBC – (game times and fixtures are to be confirmed subject to numbers)Venue: Moreton Bay Lions - Red Rooster Park, Aquatic Centre Drive, Burpengary QLD 4505The registration fee is $10 per player which must be paid at the time of online registration.Registrations will close on Friday 7 March 2025 at 5:00 PM and are essential, if you show up on the day without registering, you will not be able to play.
Legends Competition Registration
Last year, the Legends Competition was born to offer games for players Over 55 to get involved and play footy for fun every few weeks.

Umpire Registration
AFL Masters Queensland Inc. only uses Field Umpires as we play for points in our competitions and you can register for free via the below link.
In 2025, AFL Masters Queensland Inc. require all clubs to have registered Umpires for club games and you can register for free via the below link.
Coach Registration
In 2025, AFL Masters Queensland Inc. require all clubs to have a registered Coach for club games and you can register for free via the below link.
2025 National Carnival
Northern Territory will host the 42nd staging of the annual event.
What: The AFL Masters National Carnival, the largest mass participation football event in Australia.When: Sunday 28 September 2025 – Saturday 4 October 2025Where: Darwin, Northern Territory
We recommend arriving in time for an early morning training session on Saturday 27 September 2025 before the AFL Grand Final.

Player Registrations
We will begin training in February 2025 and player registrations will open in April 2025.

We have received Coaching Applications for the National Carnival which have now closed.Our Coach Selection Sub-Committee are currently in the process of reviewing the applications.

We will open the merchandise store in 2025 with an exciting new range as requested by our players.
Attendance Letters
If you need to provide your Employer with a letter requesting your attendance for the National Carnival, please contact us and we will organise this.
Payment Plan
If you'd like to enter into a payment plan for your registration fees, please contact us and we will be more than happy to set one up for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the National Carnival?
Once a year, the National Carnival welcomes players from all States and Territories meet in a unique location around Australia where 60+ teams go head to head for the win. In 2024, there were over 60 teams from across the nation where men and women compete in age groups ranging from Over 35’s to Over 70’s.
How many games are played?
Each team will play three games during the week at the National Carnival.
We expect Game 1 will commence late morning on Sunday 28th September 2025 (unconfirmed).
We expect Game 2 will be played Wednesday 1st October 2025 (unconfirmed).
We expect Game 3 and finals will be held on Friday 3rd October and into Saturday 4th October 2025 (unconfirmed).

What is Queenslander Night?
Each year, Queensland hosts a fantastic event where all Queensland players attend with partners/family to celebrate our great state. This event hypes everyone up for the week ahead and is also a perfect teammate bonding opportunity for those who haven't met or trained together, yet.

What is the Gala Night?
The Gala Night is hosted by AFL Masters National each year where players celebrate the final games on the last day of the National Carnival.

Are there any other events?
The AFL Masters NT Organising Committee have organised events spread throughout the week that players attend.

What dates should I arrive and leave?
We recommend arriving in time for an early morning training session on Saturday 27 September 2025 before the AFL Grand Final.
We reccomend leaving on or after Sunday 5 October 2025 to ensure you're still here for the final day of games and Gala Night.
Do I need to buy a uniform?
At a minimum, you need to purchase a kit which includes guernsey, shorts and socks which can be purchased from our online merchanise store when it reopens in 2025. We changed uniforms in 2023 so if you've attended a National Carnival prior to 2023, please make sure you purchase a new playing kit.
